Kyle Carter has been endorsed by former Congressman Bill Thomas.

 

Thomas served in the United States House of Representatives from 1979 to 2007, ultimately serving as Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. He currently serves as a member of the Kern Community College District Board of Trustees.

 

Earlier Tuesday, Congressman Thomas issued the following statement: "I'm supporting Kyle Carter for Mayor. Kyle has walked the streets of Bakersfield his entire life. He was born here. He was educated here. He has created jobs for thousands of us in the area. We need his business experience put to work for us as our Mayor. Please join me in voting for Kyle Carter for Mayor of Bakersfield."
