L'Oreal will be coming to Kern County, as the company will have a distribution center at Tejon Ranch.
Tejon Ranch Company officials confirmed with 23ABC that a deal has been reached to bring the makeup giant to Kern County.
The creation of the distribution center would create at least 155 new jobs.
According to a press release from Tejon Ranch Co.'s vice president, Barry Zoeller, he stated SalonCentric, L'Oréal USA's professional salon distribution operation, to the Tejon Ranch Commerce Center (TRCC). SalonCentric is expected to move into a 240,000 square foot space. And SalonCentric will relocate to Kern County from Valencia
Tejon Ranch Co.'s executive vice president of real estate, Joseph Rentfro, stated in the press release, "It's also further evidence of Kern County's emergence as a major distribution region with the ability to serve California and the western U.S."
SalonCentric president, Bertrand Fontaine, stated, "We believe Tejon Ranch is the ideal location from which we can serve our professional salon customers throughout the west.Its central location directly on Interstate 5 provides great access, and given the size of TRCC, we have room to expand operations to further realize our vision of modernizing the professional beauty industry."
