La Conquista in California City has been closed to a large presence of cockroaches.

The Kern County Public Health Services discovered 25-30 live cockroaches in the food preparation area, as well as on food contact surfaces like cutting boards, wiping cloths and take out containers.

The facility was also found to violate other rules that resulted in the immediate suspension of their food permit. La Conquista will temporarily close due to their violations.
