LA Ilusion Bakery and Donuts Shop was closed by Kern County Public Health after rodent droppings were found in and near the pastry boxes.
According to the report, an inspector observed a "great amount of rodent droppings" on the counter where the pastry boxes were stored. Rodent droppings were also found inside of the pastry boxes.
Inspectors also noted debris buildup on the fans inside of the walk-in cooler, and cleaning equipment and cardboard boxes cluttering the back storage room.
LA Ilusion Bakery and Donuts Shop is located at 3150 Panama Lane in Southwest Bakersfield.
