Labor day traffic causes headache for drivers

Posted

After a long holiday weekend traffic was backed up for miles throughout Kern County.

During rush hour,  the traffic on the I-5 near the Outlets at Tejon was down to about 20 miles per hour all the way up to the Grapevine, forcing people to stop and take a break from the bumper to bumper traffic.

Although drivers expected the traffic, many said it was taking them much longer than to get home and sometimes up to double the travel time.

Fortunately, no major injuries were reported in Kern County.
