Lamont is celebrating 13 Latin American countries independence with Dia de la Independencia on Sunday.
The event will start at 2:30 p.m. with a parade from Main Street down Palm Avenue into Lamont Park. The celebration event will then go until 10 p.m.
Jose Gonzalez, who is the president of the Greater Lamont Chamber of Commerce, said the event will include Latin American dancing, Aztec vendors, DJs and live music. You're welcome to bring your own food and drinks, but there will also be vendors selling them in the park.
