A man charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine was arrested Thursday at his home in Lamont.

A federal grand jury returned a one-count indictment against 35-year-old Jose Soto, the Department of Justice announced.

On May 5, 2016 Soto possessed over 50 grams of meth and over 500 grams of a mixture containing methamphetamine. The drugs were for sale at his residence.

The investigation was carried out by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Kern County Probation Department.
