Lamont store owner expected to be arraigned in shooting of an alleged shoftlifter

LAMONT, Calif. – The Lamont store owner accused of shooting a suspected shoplifter is expected to be arraigned Thursday morning.

Elias Aguilar was arrested back on April 27th, a month after the shooting.

 

Aguilar is charged with assault with a firearm.

 

Back in March, he shot David Carillo, who was allegedly trying to shoplift from his store.

 

Carillo was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

 

The District Attorney’s Office already dropped charged against Carillo.
