BAKERSIFELD, Calif. — Electrical work will require lane and shoulder closures on Westside Parkway and Mohawk Street interchange this week.
Today, February 12, the contractor will need to close the #2 lane on southbound Mohawk Street and the right-turn lane to the eastbound Westside Parkway on-ramp for boring operations. The remaining southbound lanes, as well as the eastbound on-ramp, are expected to remain open to southbound traffic during the operation.
Once work is completed in the southbound lanes, crews will switch to northbound Mohawk Street and close the #2 lane and the shoulder on the westbound loop on-ramp. One northbound lane and the westbound on-ramp will remain open while work is underway.
On Wednesday night, the Truxtun Avenue westbound on-ramp will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The ramp may also be closed on Thursday night, if needed.
