According to the city of Bakersfield, the outside right-turn lane on the eastbound off-ramp to Mohawk Street and the outside lane of southbound Mohawk Street will be closed Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is to allow for paving operations for a new Park & Ride facility adjacent to the Westside Parkway and Mohawk Street.

One right-turn lane will remain open on the eastbound off-ramp and two lanes will be available for southbound traffic on Mohawk Street while work is underway. C

During the paving, the contractor will also make repairs to a small section of the bike path in the vicinity of the Truxtun Avenue on-ramp and off-ramp structures.

Drivers are reminded to watch out for construction workers and equipment.
