(UPDATE: October 18, 2018 8:26 p.m.) According to PG&E, the outage was caused by fallen wires. At this time it is affecting 10 customers.

Power is expected to be restored by 11:45 p.m.

There are reports of a large power outage in Southwest Bakersfield.

The outage is currently affect over 2,000 customers between Allen Road, Stockdale Highway and Buena Vista. 

The outage began at approximately 4:52 p.m. The cause is currently unknown, but PG&E has a restoration time estimated for 8:45 p.m.
