On Wednesday morning lawyers in the case where a Bakersfield High School student was injured while wearing a chicken suit at a pep rally discussed the next step in the case.
Earlier this week a panel of jurors found the Kern High School District liable for the injuries student Mitch Carter sustained.
A $10.5 million settlement was announced Wednesday morning.
Carter was wearing a chicken suit to resemble the Clovis West High School Golden Hawk in 2010 prior to a football game BHS was going to play.
During the pep rally, Carter was attacked by fellow students and suffered a traumatic brain injury.
