Two leap-year babies were born at Adventist Health Saturday, according to hospital officials.
The pair would join about 200,000 people in the United States and about 5 million people worldwide who have a leap-year birthday, which occurs once every four years.
Leland Masi was born at 11:13 a.m. He weighs 9 pounds, 3 ounces and is 20.5 inches long, according to Teresa Adamo, a hospital spokeswoman.
Masi would be the second leap-year baby born at the hospital Saturday.
Abigail Maldonado was born at 5:32 a.m. She weights 9 pounds, 2 ounces and is 19 inches long, according to Adamo.
Hospital officials say a third leap-year baby at the hospital is expected before midnight.
