Seniors all across Kern County are participating all day in the Kern County Senior games at Rosewood Senior Living.
This is the 9th year Rosewood hosts the games and this year they have over 500 senior athletes participating.
The events include golfing, rock climbing, running and other Olympic events.
This year all the retirement homes in Bakersfield are participating.
Individual winners receive medals and the overall winners receive the Mayor's trophy.
The money raised during these games all goes back to the seniors, specifically to the Alzheimer's Disease Association of Kern County and to Christmas for Seniors.
