A local 11-year-old wrote a book about all the different kinds of poodles there are. This book is a tribute to his poodle, Max, who passed away.

Zane Thygerson wrote the book "Oodles of Poodles". In the book he talks about 21 different types of poodle mixes, like the popular goldendoodle and labradoodle. Thygerson learned that many dog breeds were being mixed with poodles to make them easy to train, great with kids, hypoallergenic and shed less.

Thygerson now owns a "party poodle" named Lincoln. He is a standard poodle that is colored black and white, making him a "party poodle".

Thygerson was selling signed copies of his book at the Kern County Pet Fair.
