BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman Jose D. Martinez graduated from basic military training at Joint Base in San Antonio.

Martinez completed an eight-week program that includes training in military discipline and studies.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Martinez is the son of Alejandra and Luiz D. Martinez and is a 2017 graduate of Ridgeview High School.
