A local attorney will speak publicly for the first time on Wednesday since accusations that he and his family set up a multi-million dollar health care scheme.
The attorney, Philip Ganong, and his wife Pamela, each now facing 47 years in prison.
According to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Philip Ganong is charged in a $22 million insurance billing scheme.
The DA's office shows that between 2012 and 2014 Ganong, along with his wife, his son, other family members and doctors set up fake sober living homes in an effort to bill insurance companies then pocketing the money.
The sober living homes were set up in Bakersfield, Orange County and in Los Angeles.
The Ganongs allegedly billed more than $22 million in fake services to four insurance companies. In turn investigators say they were able to profit $15 million dollars.
23ABC reached out to the Ganongs looking for comment.
They said they would wait until today at 9 to speak their offices on Truxtun.
