A Bakersfield Cub Scout Troop came together Tuesday to repay the community for their support after a trailer with thousands of dollars of equipment inside was stolen from them.
Cub Scout Pack 25 held a “Scouts-giving” at Veterans Elementary School.
During the event, they collected canned food to deliver to local food banks for those in need after the community donated money and camping gear to them.
The trailer theft canceled the groups Veteran’s Day camping trip.
To date, they have received more than $3,200 in donations following the theft.
