Zach Skow is the founder of Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue.
Jockey reached out to him after hearing his story of overcoming addiction then founding his rescue organization. They featured him in an ad that's part of a campaign called "Show 'em What's Underneath."
In the ad, he talks about hitting rock bottom with addiction then turning to his dogs for motivation to recover.
"I know I couldn't live for myself so I lived for my dogs," said Skow in the video.
Skow said he hopes to use the momentum from this campaign to continue to work to make Kern County a no-kill county. He also hopes to further expand his Pawsitive Change program which pairs dogs with prisoners to help the people gain skills and the dogs become more adoptable.
