BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — This weekend you have a chance to catch some fun events happening near you.

It's the 34-th Annual Bakersfield Home and Garden Show.

The event is being held at the Kern County Fairgrounds. It runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Also If you are looking for a way to get active this morning with the family, Bike Bakersfield is hosting a community bike ride.

The ride will begin at 10 this morning and bikers will depart Bike Bakersfield located at 1708 Chester Avenue and travel all the way to Cloud 9 Coffee on Tower Way and California Avenue.

The ride is free for everyone who wants to join.

Today you will also have a chance to meet the makers behind eight local craft breweries in town during the Meet Your Brewer event.

Organizers said the event starts at six tonight and it offers a more intimate seating where you will have a chance to meet and chat with makers.

Organizers also said this is considered the pre-party to the annual Country Craft Beer Festival scheduled for April 4, 2020.

All proceeds from the event today will go towards local children charities.
