BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The countdown for the remodeled home for the Mosley family continues. Volunteers, contractors and crews from the show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition have worked around the clock to complete the renovated home.

Kern County residents, contractors and other local agencies have pitched in to help remodel the home for the Mosley family.

"It's really one of those experiences where you're really amazed at the generosity of the community," said Vali Nemetz, Sales and Marketing Manager of John Balfanz Homes. "These guys are here volunteering for free, giving up 36 hours to frame our house."

The family of seven lived in a three-bedroom home in Northwest Bakersfield. This Wednesday, August 28th, the Mosley family will walk into their remolded home, and the public will be invited to watch.

"We had an incredible reaction, I mean the family was absolutely shocked. Their excitement, their emotions were so raw and real," said Nemetz.

The renovation project is still in need of volunteers, food and other donations. To volunteer, donate any of the requested items, click here. John Balfanz will also post information on their website about attending Wednesday's big unveiling at a later date.
