Star Wars mania was in full force Thursday at Maya Cinemas in Downtown Bakersfield.

Fans began camping out for the premiere of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” hours beforehand. The official debut of the movie was Thursday at 7 p.m.

The new film is the first of several planned spin-offs from the original series.

An assortment of characters and droids from the film were at the premiere making things fun for fans and taking photos.
