A local marine stormed beaches in Okinawa, Japan during a training exercise last week. The United States Marine Corps released the above pictures of Bakersfield's Lance Corporal Anthony Lopez training on June 28th.
According to military officials, the training included Assault Amphibious Vehicles used to perform raids and assaults launched from the sea.
Lance Cpl. Lopez is a rifleman with Echo Company, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion and 5th Marines. Lance Cpl. graduated from Ridgeview High School in 2015 and enlist two months later into the Marine Corp.
