The search is on for a stolen parrot. 

A macaw was stolen from the home of a Bakersfield resident last Friday afternoon. 

She says whenever she would come home from work she could hear her bird making noise. This time however, was different. 

When she noticed her bird was gone she immediately thought to look at her home security camera footage. This is where she would find the answer. 

In the security camera footage you can see a black car approaching the back gate of the bird owner's home. The man then tries to search for a way to enter, gets inside, steals the bird, and returns to the car for the escape. 

Bakersfield Police Department is now looking into the case. Anyone with information is urged to contact them.
