BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Dozens of people gathered on the corner of Calloway Drive and Hageman Ave. Friday evening for what they called a "Patriot's Rally".

According to a flyer for the rally, it was put on to salute and honoring heroes of the military, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, dispatchers, corrections, healthcare workers and President Donald Trump.

"We're here tonight to show our support to our police department, fire department, people that work in the ER, anyone that is out and does service for our country." said Marilyn Webster, one of the people who attended the rally. "We just want to show them support and show them that we are true Americans and that we want our nation to stay free and we want everyone to know that everybody matters and everybody has the same rights, that's why we're here."

The group stood along Hageman Rd. with American flags and signs as multiple cars driving by honked their horns.
