BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Many local restaurants around Bakersfield spent the Thursday prepping for Valentine's Day.

The Padre Hotel is no longer accepting dinner reservations but there are still some rooms available if you are looking to elope Padre style, according to employees. You can also add a sweet scent to your room for an extra $100; employees said you can purchase a love package filled with champagne, strawberries, chocolates and more.

Mama Mia and Uricchio's are also fully booked and no longer accepting reservations. Employees at both restaurants told 23ABC they have worked endlessly to get everything ready for the special night.

Uricchio's Owner, Claire Uricciho, told 23ABC News that your best bet is to try to grab a lunch date if you don't already have a dinner reservation.

The story remains the same at The Mark restaurant on 19th Street in Bakersfield, they are no longer accepting dinner reservations. However, they are still offering special Valentine's Day reservations at 4 p.m. that will allow you to dine in until 6 p.m.

For singles looking to mingle, or for those of you who forgot to book a reservation you can also head to the 18hundred restaurant in downtown Bakersfield. Employees told 23ABC that even though dinner reservations are no longer available they are still accepting walk-in's who would like to have access to tables and the bar area on a first come first serve basis.
