A group of local veterans gathered on Tuesday in central Bakersfield to sit and share there experiences with others who know exactly what it's like to serve their country.

Every month, local veterans get together at the Veterans Center on Golden State Avenue to have talk amongst coffee and donuts

It started a few years ago and has since been put on by the Wounded Heroes Fund locally. The veterans have been gathering on a regular basis ever since.

The get together happens every first Tuesday of the month at the Vet Center and is open to veterans of all ages.
