We are two weeks out from the presidential election, and many Kern County residents are not happy with the options on their ballot.

So a local waitress is now saying she wants your vote.

Debora Gable enjoys her day job as a waitress for a local restaurant in Oildale.

But for the next two weeks, she'll have a lot on her plate. Gable said she is running for president.

She decided to run as a write-in candidate two months ago, after feeling dissatisfied with the current nominations.

Gable said, her campaign started off as a joke, but it quickly became a reality.

She said she would represent people fairly.

"The elderly is forgotten, and the children are kicked to the side and the education is just really pitiful," said Gable.
