Several organizations hosted Safe Halloween events around the community. 23 ABC stopped by the Bakersfield Police Department's first Halloween event, the Boys and Girls Club of Kern County Trunk-or-Treat and Safe Halloween at the Kern County Museum.

If you are interested in turning your candy into cash, Crown Dental is hosting a Candy Buy Back. Crown Dental will be buying back candy from visitors starting on November 1st to November 8th. Kids can receive $1 per pound, with a limit of 5 lbs. Crown Dental will then send the candy to troops with the help of Operation Gratitude in Los Angeles.

From 23 ABC we hope you had a fun and safe Halloween.
