A crash with major injuries was reported Monday afternoon near Fairview Road and Monitor Street in South Bakersfield.
KCSO was attempting to stop a vehicle when that vehicle crashed into another vehicle at the intersection.
Two adult females were in the second vehicle, one of the females was pregnant and sustained moderate injuries. The other three were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The crash happened around 4:30 p.m.
The person driving the vehicle sheriff's were attempting to stop ran, but was located and taken into custody.
