On Monday, February 29, 2016 at approximately 10:00 pm, officers of the Bakersfield Police Department responded to the 700 block of Wilkins Street, where they located Jose Martin Ruiz, 24. Ruiz was a suspect wanted in connection with a recent armed robbery.

During the investigation a loaded firearm was located and seized. Ruiz is currently on Post Release Supervision and was arrested for firearm charges, conspiracy, armed robbery, probation violation and gang related charges.
