Man accused of killing a Montana Sheriff's deputy is due in court this afternoon

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The man with Bakersfield ties, accused in the shooting death of a Montana deputy, is scheduled to be in court this afternoon.

 

62-year-old Lloyd Barrus and his son Marshall Barrus are accused of shooting and killing Broadwater County Sheriff’s Deputy Mason Moore on Tuesday morning.

 

Lloyd Barrus is now facing a charge of deliberate homicide.

 

The last known address of Barrus is right here in Bakersfield.

 

23ABC went to the address and spoke to a woman claiming to be Lloyd Barrus’ girlfriend.

 

Marshall Barrus was shot during his arrest and has been hospitalized.

 

Lloyd Barrus is set to be in court this afternoon at 1:30 PST.
