A man accused in the deadly hit and run of a Tehachapi basketball star pleaded not guilty today in court.
21-year-old Isaac Macias faces one count of DUI vehicle manslaughter, driving under the influence of alcohol causing bodily injury, and hit and run causing death or permanent serious injury.

According to a CHP report both the driver and passenger admitted to drinking the night of the accident. The driver, 20 year-old Isaac Macias, swerved while driving on State Route 202, striking 14 year-old Leslie Balderrama.
Ibrahim Gomes was also charged with hit and run causing death or permanent serious injury. He pleaded not guilty last week.
Macias and Gomes will appear in court on July 22nd.
