In court: man accused of trying to blow up GF

The man accused of trying to blow up his girlfriend pled not guilty in court today.

Cory Joe Pearson was arrested December 5th, 2015 by Kern County Sheriff deputies. Sheriff officials said Pearson sent threatening text messages to his girlfriend including a picture of what looked like several sticks of dynamite taped to his waist.

PREVIOUS STORY:

Pearson was charged with first degree burglary, threaten with intent to terrorize, reporting a false bomb, battery on a spouse, willful cruelty to a child, and obstructing a public officer.

Pearson is being held on $150,000 bail. His trial is set to start February 22, 2016.
