Man arrested, 2 others wanted for robbing South Bakersfield Papa John's Pizza

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A man was arrested and two others are wanted for robbing a South Bakersfield Papa John's Pizza with a gun.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, around 10:20 p.m. on May 31, officers responded to Papa John's Pizza in the 2400 block of White Lane for reports of a robbery with a gun.

BPD says minutes later, the suspect vehicle was located and a short pursuit ensued.

Three suspects fled the vehicle on foot. Twenty-seven-year-old Ulises Candelario of Bakersfield was arrested for robbery, conspiracy, and resisting arrest.

The two other suspects are described as Hispanic men, 6 feet tall, with thin builds. They were last seen wearing dark blue hoodies and dark blue shorts.
