A man is behind bars after breaking into a home that was covered by a fumigation tent.
According to Bakersfield Police, officers responded to reports of a burglary at a home in the area of Chester W. Nimitz Street and Fairview Road on Friday afternoon.
Police say they found a portion of the tent had been removed.
After about 45 minutes, police were able to get the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Julian Vasquez, to exit the home.
Police say he was medically cleared from exposure to poisonous chemicals.
Vasquez now faces a charge of burglary.
