Man arrested after robbing three Tehachapi fast food restaurants

A man has been arrested after robbing multiple fast food locations in Tehachapi.

Tehachapi police arrested 22-year-old Timothy Gillies Wednesday for multiple counts of armed robbery.

On Monday night around 11:50 p.m. a suspect entered the drive-thru of a Burger King on Tehachapi Boulevard, demanded cash from the register, and fled the scene. The suspect also had a semi-automatic pistol on his lap.

On Tuesday around 3:50 p.m., a suspect demanded money from the register in writing at a Del Taco on Tucker Road and fled the location.

On Tuesday around 7:50 p.m., a male suspect entered the Jack in the Box drive-thru on Tucker Road, demanded cash with the threat of shooting, and fled the scene.

Tehachapi police found the suspect’s car with the suspect inside while patrolling the area.

Gillies was booked into Kern County jail.
