One is in serious condition and another man is facing charges after a shooting Friday morning in Delano.

Delano Police said the shooting happened around 10 a.m. around the 800 block of 10th Street. When officers arrived they saw a male victim with a gunshot wound in his upper body. The victim was taken to a Bakersfield hospital in serious condition.

Officers said their suspect, 33-year-old Henry Raymond Joseph Perez, originally fled the scene, but later turned himself in to the courthouse. 

Delano Police officers said they do not believe this shooting was gang related.
