A man is in custody for brandishing a gun in Oildale.  

It happened around 11:15 p.m. Saturday night when deputies with the Metro Patrol Section responded to investigate a report of a man with a gun in the 100 block of Warren Avenue. 

When deputies arrived on scene, 39-year-old Jeffrey Vigue ran from them and was arrested after a short foot pursuit. 

Vigue was in possession of a loaded .40 caliber handgun. 

He was arrested for being a felon in possession of a stolen gun, attempted murder, false imprisonment, criminal threats and resisting arrest.
