Man arrested for reportedly carrying methamphetamine in Lake Isabella

The Kern County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for transportation and possession of methamphetamine on Saturday morning.

At 2:20 a.m., deputies from the KCSO Kern Valley substation stopped 35-year-old Adan Junior Villegas for vehicle violations on Reeder Drive in Lake Isabella. When they searched his car, deputies found one pound of meth hidden inside his engine compartment.

Villegas was arrested and booked into the Central Receiving Facility for transportation of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sales, and driving on a suspended license.

The seized meth has an estimated street value of over $22,500.00.
