A man is facing vehicular manslaughter charges after he was allegedly driving under the influence in a deadly crash Friday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Robert Giron was under the influence when the car he was driving in the area of Copus Road and Southbound 99 collided with a pickup truck at about 8:30 Friday night.
The CHP says Giron did not stop at a stop sign and pulled directly in front of the pickup.
The passenger in Giron's car was pronounced dead. Giron suffered major injuries. The driver of the pickup only had complaints of pain.
The CHP says Giron, who was transported to a hospital, faces charges including DUI causing death and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
