BPD arrested a man for four felonies after they discovered a loaded firearm during a traffic stop.
Around 2 a.m. on October 26, BPD officers conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Chester Avenue in Central Bakersfield. During the stop, officers say they discovered a male occupant had a firearm. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. According to BPD, the suspect was in possession of a loaded, unregistered 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
Cauthemoc Flores, 29, of Bakersfield was arrested for four felonies and one misdemeanor, including felony carrying a loaded firearm without a registration and felony concealed firearm not in lawful possession.
