The Bakersfield Police department arrested one person in connection to an armed robbery Friday.
Officials said around 3:30 Friday afternoon officers responded to Citizens Bank on California Avenue and Easton Drive for reports of an armed robbery.
Witnesses of the armed robbery gave a description to police and the direction the suspect ran. Officers found a man matching the suspect description behind a business down the street on Easton Drive.
The man was positively ID'd by the witnesses as the robber. Police identified him as Kenneth Dwayne Burns, 44, of Bakersfield. He was arrested for robbery and booked into the Kern County Jail.
He is currently being held on $35,000 bail and is expected in court on Tuesday, August 23rd.
