NEENACH, Calif. — After four years of investigation and looking for a suspect, authorities arrested Porfino Magana Garcia, 46, for a 2015 murder case.
In June of 2015, detectives from the Kern County Sheriff's Office began investigating the killing of Jose Chavez-Ochoa in Lost Hills. Officials then identified Magana Garcia as a suspect in the case.
On Friday, detectives with help from Homeland Security Investigations and the sheriff's office SWAT team located and arrested Magana Garcia in Neenach, which is a settlement in Los Angeles County.
Magana Garcia was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Kern County Central Receiving Facility for murder charges.
