One man is behind bars in Central Bakersfield after being found with a loaded gun.

According to the BPD, they contacted 29-year-old David Swenson on Buck Owens Boulevard around 7:00 p.m. Monday.

They say he discarded a loaded gun as they approached.

Swenson now faces multiple weapons charges.
