John Galafate, the man convicted of killing an 88-year-old man in Delano will spend at least 25 years behind bars.
On Wednesday, a judge sentenced Galafate to 25 years to life. He was convicted of killing John Espinoza back in 2013.
The body of Espinoza, who was well known in the community of Delano, was found in a car trunk that was submerged in a canal in September of 2013.
Galafate was found guilty in February of first-degree murder.
