BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner identified the man struck and killed while laying down in the drive-thru of a McDonald's in Northwest Bakersfield.

The coroner said 20-year-old Timothy Wayne Skaggs died at the scene following the incident.

Bakersfield Police we dispatched to the McDonald's on Coffee Road for reports of a man pinned under a vehicle in the drive-thru, at about 10:30 Sunday evening.

Police said the Skaggs was laying in the drive-thru and the driver of the vehicle did not see him prior to the crash.

According to BPD, the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The driver did remain on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
