BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner's Office says a man died Monday after being crushed by a forklift.
They say 51-year-old Ubaldo Vargas Vega was operating the forklift in an orange orchard in the 12000 block of Highway 166, when something happened and he was crushed.
He died at the scene.
There is no word if Cal OSHA will be called in to investigate the incident.
