Man driving stolen car taken into custody after chase with KCSO, CHP

Posted
A man is behind bars after leading Kern County Sheriff's deputies and the California Highway Patrol on a chase in East Bakersfield.

KCSO's watch commander says deputies tried to pull over a car around 1:30 Friday morning off Comanche Drive and Muller Road.

Deputies ran the license plate and realized it was stolen. The driver took off and the CHP jumped in to help. A spike strip took out the tires.

However, the driver, identified as 25-year-old James Narajano, kept going.

He was eventually taken into custody after about 30 minutes.

KCSO said he had warrants for his arrest.
