A man accused of kidnapping and raping an ex-girlfriend is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Gilberto Gutierrez is currently being held on $10 million bail.
According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Gilberto Gutierrez kidnapped his ex-girlfriend at her home in Taft and then attacked her at a motel in Maricopa.
The victim, an adult female, reported she had been in a relationship with Gutierrez but had to end that relationship.
KCSO officials said that Gutierrez would kidnap her and then physically and sexually assault her for two days.
The victim was able to notify family via phone and tell them what was going on.
Gutierrez was later arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail.
